Thank you for you help. The leak was coming from a hose connection at the top of the heater. Now the heater won't light, I don't see a spark when I hit the stricker is the heater repairable or will I need to replace the unit?

  1. The flexible hoses are prone to leaks. If you can stop the leak and let the water heater dry out for 6-12 hours you should be able the get the tank going again.
